It's summer for crying out loud!!!!

We should be running outside and getting into trouble. No parents, no rules!!!

I dropped off Lynnie at the train station. Went to my orthodontist appointment and learned that I cannot afford a new retainer until next month. Then I went home and read a book, watered the garden, and rode my bike. Later on I went to the farmers market and bought strawberry plants. We will never have to buy strawberries again! Ever! Unless the birds swoop down and eat all the fruit of my labor.

We are going to enjoy the time we have left. I realize that if someone reads this blog they may think I am 16 years old at the most. That's fine with me. I'm only dreaming.

drinking lots of water

I'm a stranger in my own home. It's amazing how fast you adapt to a knew place. Looking at all the organized behavior and my grid-like city makes me feel like I'm in a dream.

But it's still summer time and today is off to a nice start:

-Made tea
-Watered garden
-Read
-Made more tea
-Planted new seeds in garden
-Read more
-Threw tennis ball for pups

Hanging out with Ali later in the day. Then maybe reading more. Maybe a bike ride.

I can live here for a while.

handjobs during a monsoon

I've never believed in palm reading or any "voodoo" behavior but the other night there was a monsoon and I couldn't really do anything productive. Anju said she could read my palm so I thought it would be fun. Apparently...

-I make rash decisions
-My life depends on faith as much as it does logic
-I will not travel as much I think I'm going to
-I will not have to worry about money
-I will marry for love

All of those sound very likely and appealing except the not traveling one. I guess we'll see...

finally phone free

It feels so good to not have a cell phone! It's been less than a day but I know I'm not going to miss it. I also chopped off a lot of my hair. Christy and my mom think it was a dumb decision but it's just hair and it will grow back.
With finals officially over I can finally pack. By this time tomorrow I'll be on a plane only a few hours from Delhi!

I haven't been able to sleep

I think I am too nervous/excited. I went to bed at midnight and didn't fall asleep for some time. Woke up at 4am. Woke up again at 5:30am and just decided to stay up. I have a final in two hours that I should be reviewing for. My paper on The Berkley Free Speech Movement is finally done with the help of Liz checking for spelling errors. How can I concentrate in school with India on the mind and with the Ducks playing game 7 tomorrow?!

Less than two more days!!!!!!

Schooooooll

I can't wait for school to be over! Taking finals a week early is a lot more stressful than I thought but it will be worth it. Only two more days! I went to the continental yesterday to hang out and see Jose's band Dirt Dress before I left. All of Fullerton in one place. Two months is going to go by fast so I know I'll see everyone again before I know it.

p.s. I should probably start packing.
